Who is behind this website, which services the page contacts while you read it, and what that means for your data.
Site disclosure (Impressum)
Required for a website that advertises a commercially let property. Section 25 of the Austrian Mediengesetz, section 5 of the German Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz and article 3:15d of the Dutch Burgerlijk Wetboek ask for the same details, so this block serves all three.
Who is responsible for this website
The site is published by the private owners of Chalet Mirnockblick. The details below have to be completed before launch: they are what a visitor, an authority or a court would use to reach us.
- Name of the owner: full legal name of the private owner, to be filled in
- Postal address: street, postal code, city and country of the owner, to be filled in
- Email address: contact address for legal and privacy questions, to be filled in
- Telephone: optional, only if the owners want a number published
- Registration or VAT number: company register or VAT number if the letting is registered, otherwise state that none applies
- Purpose of the site: presenting our own holiday chalet and pointing visitors to the booking platform. Nothing is sold and no payment is taken here.
The property and the rental
The chalet stands at the DualResorts park in Afritz am See, Carinthia, Austria. It is owned privately by our family. DualResorts manages the rental for us, and bookings run through the Villa for You listing AT.9542.211, where the contract, the payment and the cancellation terms are handled. We take no bookings and no payments on this website.
Privacy notice
The short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no forms. It does contact three outside services, and two of them see your IP address. The detail follows.
Cookies and consent
This website sets no cookies at all, which is why there is no cookie banner and nothing to consent to. There is no advertising, no profiling and no tracking pixel. There is also no contact form and no account: the only route to a booking is the availability calendar, which the rental platform provides.
What your browser remembers
Two small settings are saved in your browser's local storage: the language you picked and whether you are viewing the summer or the winter version of the page. Local storage is not a cookie. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, it holds no identifier and no personal data, and it stays on your own device. Clearing your browser data removes it. The five-day forecast is also kept in session storage for one hour so it is not fetched twice, and that disappears when you close the tab.
Services this page contacts
Whenever your browser loads something from another company, that company sees your IP address, the page you came from and basic technical details about your device. That is unavoidable for anything loaded over the internet, so here is exactly what happens, and when.
- api.open-meteo.com (Open-Meteo): contacted automatically. The current temperature is fetched as soon as the page opens, and a five-day forecast is fetched when you scroll to the location section. No account, no key and no identifier is involved; only the coordinates of Afritz am See are sent, together with your IP address.
- widgets.villaforyou.com (Villa for You, the Netherlands): loaded automatically, because it draws the availability calendar under Plan your stay. We audited the widget on 19 August 2026: it sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser storage and contains no analytics or advertising code. It does see your IP address. If you send a request through the calendar, Villa for You becomes responsible for what you enter there, under their own privacy statement.
- Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited): loaded only after you press the button that shows the map. Until you press it, nothing is requested from Google and Google learns nothing about your visit. Once the map opens it is an ordinary Google Maps embed, so Google's own terms and privacy policy apply and data may be transferred outside the European Union.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like every web server, Netlify records standard log data when a page is served: IP address, time, the file requested, the referring page and the browser identification. Those logs exist to deliver the site and to keep it secure. We do not use them to build profiles and we do not combine them with anything else.
Legal basis, purpose and retention
We collect no personal data through this website ourselves: there is no form, no account and no newsletter. The processing described above happens because a page cannot be delivered without it, and it rests on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working and informative website, article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Server logs and the requests to the services above are kept only for the retention periods of those providers, and we hold no copy of them. Booking data is processed by Villa for You and DualResorts under their own notices, not here.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can exercise the following rights at any time and free of charge. Write to the address in the disclosure above and we will answer within one month.
- Access: ask whether data about you is processed and receive a copy of it.
- Rectification: have inaccurate data about you corrected.
- Erasure: have data deleted where there is no longer a reason to keep it.
- Restriction and portability: have the processing limited, or receive your data in a portable format.
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest, including everything described on this page.
- Complaint: complain to a supervisory authority. In Austria that is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at. You may also complain to the authority in your own country: in Germany the data protection authority of your federal state, in the Netherlands the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
What will change
There is no analytics on this site today. A cookie-free visitor counter (GoatCounter) is prepared in the page source but switched off. When it is turned on after launch, this page will name it before the counting starts. Any other change to the services listed here will be described on this page as well.
